One day, my father brought home a sweet and skittish Doberman. She was about 20 pounds underweight, hair rubbed bald on most of her body, and terrified of running water.

He thought she would be perfect companion for me as I traipsed about his wooded and remote property (lions and tigers and bears, O my!).

He named her Megan. And she stayed beside me in his 300 acre woods, and then still, when I moved back to the big City.

So yes, I bag. I bagged what Megan did, and I bagged other doggies' Do. But I know it looks stupid waiting at the end of that leash. At least I don't make the doggies wear their Do on their collars, and I don't carry it swinging in that Safeway bag.

Yes, I stuff the Do-bag inside a "nice" bag, an Aveda bag or a Wolford bag or some other tote. It's my compromise between being a French girl (who won't pick up the Do at all) and being a good citizen while still looking like a Lady.

well, better to bag than not too bag...

fact is, people who don't bag are directly contributing to algae overgrowth and low oxygen levels associated with fish kills in puget sound..so our local government says..

really sears my conscience when the puppies drop a bomb right in grass so long, it's impossible to get it all...

no what made me feel a bit less guilty? apparently, the latest research i read indicates that fish kills and low oxygen have been occurring since way before white people ever got here..has something do with how deep the Sound is and layering of warm over cold water...

who knows? the experts are only the experts until new experts come along and completely contradict them...

so i take it you don't have a dog Leila?
